Report on Digital campaign on Anti-Narcotics Awareness organized by MA S2 Sociology,
Dept. of Sociology, Govt KNM Arts and Science College, Kanjirakulam.
The following is a brief report on
the digital awareness campaign on Narcotics Awareness conducted on 30th
of July, 2021 at 7.30pm on Google Meet platform, also live streamed in the
official channel of the department on Youtube, by the post graduate students of
1st year Semester 2, of the Department of Sociology, Govt. K.N.M.
Arts & Science College Kanjiramkulam, under the campaign name ‘DANGEROUS’.
The 30 minutes campaign organized and
coordinated by the students began with the introductory session by Lakshmi S,
and Divya S. S. delivered the formal welcome speech and addressed the campaign
agenda to the audience. The session progressed with various programs organized
by the M.A. S2 Sociology students including documentary screening on the
hazards of drug abuse among the youth prepared by Divya S. S., poem
presentation composed under the theme drug addiction by Lakshmi S, followed by
a thought-provoking speech on the menace of drug abuse delivered by Adithya S. A. and documentary screening prepared
and presented by the students M.A. S2 Sociology themed on depiction of the
social impacts of drug abuse among the youth, the session was concluded with
the vote of thanks delivered by
Vinayapriya V. S. Active participation of the audience by the students and
teachers of the college was maintained throughout.
The campaign aimed constructive engagement and
participation amidst the COVID19 lockdown inculcating the social responsibility
among students to create awareness on narcotics abuse.
